HISTORY
A. G. Healing Ltd. was a major Australian manufacturing company founded by Alfred George Healing in 1896 in Melbourne. It began in the bicycle trade, later adding motorcycles and then expanding into a much broader industrial business, including radios, refrigerators, washing machines, television sets, automotive parts, steel furniture and engineering products. By the mid-twentieth century it had become a well-known national manufacturer with offices in several Australian cities, but after rapid diversification and financial difficulties in the late 1960s, the company went into receivership and eventually disappeared as an independent business in the 1970s.
