HISTORY
Acmil Limited was an Australian manufacturing company that evolved out of F. & T. Industries Limited, itself part of the broader Felt & Textiles industrial group; The name change to Acmil Limited in 1976. By the early 1980s it was a large Australian manufacturing group, and its independent listed existence was short-lived after that. It was taken over by Australian Consolidated Industries Limited in 1981; its remaining listed notes later disappeared with the expiry of the last series in 1989. Acmil is best summarised as a late-twentieth-century Australian manufacturing and industrial group that emerged from Felt & Textiles interests and was later absorbed by ACI.
