HISTORY
Amatil Limited was an Australian consumer-goods company that evolved over the twentieth century from interests in tobacco and packaging into one of the country’s best-known beverage groups. By the time of this 1981 certificate, Amatil was already an established listed company, and in the following years it expanded further into soft drinks, eventually becoming Coca-Cola Amatil, the major Coca-Cola bottler and distributor across Australia and parts of the Asia-Pacific. The business grew into one of the region’s leading beverage companies before being acquired in 2021 by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, bringing the long standalone history of Amatil/Coca-Cola Amatil to an end.
