HISTORY
Australian Mining Trust Limited was a Queensland-based mining investment company formed during the 1930s rather than a single mine operator. It was incorporated in Queensland under the Companies Act of 1931, with its registered office in Adelaide Street, Brisbane, and ASX delisted-company records later show that it was removed from the market by Stock Exchange order on 4 April 1939, suggesting it had a relatively short listed life. The Australian Mining Trust Limited was one of the many speculative interwar mining finance vehicles that did not survive long after formation. In short, it is best described as a 1930s Australian mining investment trust/company that was later wound up and delisted in 1939.
