HISTORY
D.J.’s Properties Limited was the property arm associated with David Jones, operating as a listed Australian property and development company in the late 20th century. By 1979 it was publicly identified as the developer of the Birkenhead Point project in Sydney, and this 1981 document shows it raising capital through convertible unsecured notes paying 8¼% interest and redeemable in 1982 unless converted into ordinary shares. The company remained listed through the 1980s and was eventually taken over by David Jones (Canberra) Pty Limited in 1990, which fits its role as a David Jones–linked property vehicle rather than a standalone operating business.
