HISTORY
Pioneer Concrete Services Limited was an Australian building materials company that began in Sydney in 1949 as Pioneer Readymix and was incorporated as Pioneer Concrete Services Limited in New South Wales in 1956 before listing publicly in 1959. It grew rapidly from a local premixed-concrete business into a major producer of ready-mix concrete, quarry products and related construction materials, expanding first across Australia and then overseas, including Hong Kong from 1961. Over time the company broadened into a large multinational group, later became known as Pioneer International, and was ultimately taken over by Hanson in 1999, making this certificate part of the history of one of Australia’s best-known construction materials businesses.
