HISTORY
The Farmers and Graziers’ Co-operative Company Limited was a major New South Wales rural co-operative and agency business serving producers in areas such as wool, stock, insurance, merchandise, property, and farm supplies. By the mid-20th century it was substantial enough to be described as one of the largest producer co-operative companies in Australia, with twenty-one branches in New South Wales and turnover of £44 million, and it was commonly known as GRAZCOS. This 1979 certificate comes from that mature period of the business, when it was operating from Spring Street, Sydney, and issuing ordinary shares of 10 cents each to investors and nominee holders.
