HISTORY
Tooth & Co. Limited was one of New South Wales’ great brewing companies, founded with the opening of the Kent Brewery in 1835 and incorporated as a company in 1888. Over the following century it became a dominant NSW brewer, built around the Kent Brewery in Sydney and expanded through acquisitions such as Resch’s in 1929, as well as hotels, maltings, and other associated businesses. This 1970 certificate comes from the company’s late independent period, when Tooth was still a major listed brewer before its separate identity faded in the decades that followed.
